So let's get going and talk a little bit about this. So what is permanent and total disability? Well, there are sort of two concepts on their own. Total disability means that you're 100% disabled, whether that's through a combination of disabilities you have that are service-connected, or you have been found to be unable to work and benefit from VA's TDIU program. Permanent means that VA has determined that it's reasonably certain that your disability will not improve for the rest of your life. They use medical evidence to come to that conclusion.
